Dancing Waves

The recent storm brought in high winds and storm surge along the shoreline. Power loss in many pockets in the community and big loss of a fish plant in St. Marys from a fire during the storm. Fortunate that nobody was hurt in this intense storm. Here are some action shots of some dancing waves at Middle Cove Beach the day after.

Pumpkin Walk

For over 5 years, City of St. John’s has organized a pumpkin walk where residents can place their pumpkin the morning after Halloween along the trails at Bannerman Park. In late afternoon, crew from the City will open up the park for public to explore all the carved out pumpkin display. Free hot cholcolate provided by the City with DJ music, pop up Zombies Dance and fireworks. All punmkins will then be collected for recyling by the City the next morning. An event always well attended every year.

Mardi Gras on George Street

What a year for Mardi Gras this year on George Street. The Bud Light Costume Contest was getting more sophisticated and colorful every year. Fall colors in St. John's and area

This year has been a fantastic year for Fall vibes all around St. John’s area, all thanks to the dry spell, warm weather and the cold fall nights that have precipitated the red-orange hue onset early and comparable to any fall colors on the west coast of NL this season.
