'THE SMOKE SHOW" and what a show it was

‘THE SMOKE SHOW” - WOW!!!

I have seen this act twice before. Each time they have new materials and equally entertaining. It was the first time I watched them outdoors though. As the evening went on, fire, smoke and neon lights really brought out the highlights and the theme of the “Smoke Show”..

It was a pleasure to watch these seasoned entertainers giving their best in a creative performing niche to the audience especially when there is no other entertainment, show or concert for people to attend for over 3 months. To top it all, it was an excellent way for families to take a break from inside their homes to enjoy a snack or drinks inside their cars while watching a combo of top notch entertainment.

What a show it was. This show is a new concept in this province for sure. It combines music, aerial acts, fire show, songs and circus performances in one non-stop entertainment act. The concept of a drive-in audience and an all age family show fit the current COVID pandemic niche perfectly. Performance was done in an out-door setting, with each family bubble watching from inside their vehicles. Each vehicle was at least 2 meters apart. People could watch the show with their windows open and enjoy the show comfortably at ease with social distancing well respected.

The performers are all seasoned entertainers in this province. In no particular order, we have Alley Oop, Susan Jarvis, Kellie-Ann Evans, Armondo Fowlow, Graham Ellesworth, Keely Whitelaw, Josh Ward, Mark Feener, Taylor Bartlette and others as I probably do not know all their names.

One of the comments from the car next to mine was that the youngsters did not want to leave at the end of the show and asked their parents to stay for more and that said it all !!

My pictures could not do the justice of being there to “see” the smoke, “feel” the fire and “smell” the after smoke. AMAZING.!

Another positive point about the show was that the traffic coming in and leaving was all directed under an orderly fashion. Social distancing was well respected throughout the show. The only rule for the event was that audience was not allowed to walk around but stay put within their vehicle.

We certainly enjoyed the show very much and from the car honks by the audience, it was a great success.

Here is a collage of more pictures from last night. Thanks to all the crews and performers from the SMOKE SHOW. Looking forward to seeing your next show. You are a blessing to all the people and families who are looking for family entertainment during the pandemic. THANK YOU.
